Bounty / Puffs: $1.00 Coupons!

I heard about the Teacher WishList Program during the P&G Expo at BlogHer '11.
In a nutshell, a teacher can create a wishlist to share with parents, so that the teachers don't have to incur the average $462 they spend on their own to stock their classroom.
Click here to find your local teacher's Wishlist. If you don't see them listed, let them know about the program! They may receive a $462 Grant from the program or win a $25,000 Classroom Makeover.

And while you're there scroll to the bottom of a Teachers Wishlist to request a $1.00 off Bounty and a $1.00 off Puffs Coupon!
These will mailed to you. Allow 4-6 weeks for delivery. Coupons are only available to the first 25,000 requests

The Teacher Wish List service connects parents with their children's teachers to help provide the classroom supplies needed to ensure every child in every school has the best possible learning environment. By uploading their classroom supply wish lists to TeacherWishList.com, teachers now can communicate all of their classroom supply needs directly to the parents of their students, and parents now have a faster, easier way to get the information they need to donate much-needed school supplies for teachers.
In a recent survey of elementary and middle-school teachers, 71% reported spending an average of $462 per year out of their own pocket on classroom supplies and learning tools.* Teacher Wish List was created to thank teachers for their generosity. (How many other jobs require employees to pay for supplies?) This service makes it even easier for parents to continue to help teachers.

Go RED for Women

A beautiful freebie that is truly is special. It will serve as not only a reminder to make the right choices to protect myself,  it will also be a little symbol of remembrance of my mother and her battle with heart disease.

Take a look at the Go Red Heart Health Kit and share it with those close to you.
Visit GoRedForWomen.org to learn more and to receive your own Red Dress Pin

Heart disease is still the No. 1 killer of women, taking the life of 1 in 3 women each year. This means women just like you - mothers, sisters, friends - are dying at the rate of one per minute because they don't know what you know: heart disease kills.
Just think: By simply bringing your network to our network, you could save lives. And if your five tell five, your mission can eventually impact hundreds and thousands of women.  Tell your 5 here...

LUSH Charity Pot and Rising Sun Soap in Support of Japan

I love Lush. I usually stock up only during the After Christmas Sale, but I think I will stop by next week for these. The Charity Pot Skin Lotion is priced at $5.00 and The Rising Sun soap is $5.95

We are heartbroken over the devastation and destruction in Japan. For us it is very personal, as LUSH has 145 shops, a factory and 1,600 staff in Japan. Some of these staff and their families have lost everything. Knowing our connection to Japan, many customers have contacted us asking us how to help.
We're doing what we do best; we've created a limited edition soap and Charity Pots, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to grassroots organizations in Japan.
Thank you for your help.

A fellow blogger I met through MyCorgi.com lives in Sendai. Take a look at pictures on this page. These were taken 2 weeks after the tsunami struck Sendai. (The site is in French)

Are you in Seattle? Please consider donating stockpile items to Operation Airlift Japan!

If you are in the Seattle area, and are wondering what to do with your ever-growing stockpile, here's a organization that would welcome your donations!

We have adopted 436 Children in Japan This is your Moment to be a World Citizen!

After the twin disasters of a 9.0 quake and Tsunami, the orphanage has had to turn away kids. They need the most basic of supplies, clothing and food at this point. WE HAVE TO ACT QUICKLY. THE KIDS ARE FOUR DAYS AWAY FROM RUNNING OUT OF FOOD. SUPPLIES HAVE BEEN SLOW TO GET TO JAPAN DUE TO SNOW AND DEVASTATION.

Japan Earthquake & Pacific Tsunami Fund

So, as you may have guessed, I am night owl. Last night I was glued to CNN, just enthralled at what was happening in Japan. We were in Tokyo and Kyoto back in 2009, so I guess I have a soft spot in my heart for the Japanese. And living in California, I know what damage an earthquake can cause. But, THIS was beyond imagination, and so, so very frightening.

The American Red Cross has established the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami Fund. Here you can donate to support the disaster relief efforts to help those affected by the earthquake in Japan and tsunami throughout the Pacific.
