My Typical Southern California No-Doubling Grocery Trip

So, we needed regular food, and I always dread the grocery store because I'm not able to obtain the savings I hear about. Doubling is rare in California and usually has many restrictions. Of course, I check the circulars, and try to match up deals as best I can. But, I don't have the time or energy to go to multiple stores, trying to chase down individual deals. Today, I shopped at Stater Bros. Seriously...can they make the receipts MORE difficult to understand??

  1. I am right there with you on the no doubling in Nebraska. I am going "big" shopping today at Walmart where I will be price matching alot. I also have a handful of free item coupons that will help bring my total down. I hope for 50% savings because of that!

  2. Sorry you are not able to have GREAT GREAT GREAT Sales there. I am watching Extreme Couponing, and they are NOT extreme, as their stores double and triple coupons. In Minnesota, we actually CALCULATE the savings and STILL save about 60-75% of our bill!
